
Steve Brown
Widely recognized for his distinct high-pitched voice and his unpredictable high-energy physical antics, Steve Brown is one of the hottest comics in the industry today.
Steve Brown was born in Detroit, Michigan, and was later moved to Los Angeles, California. At age twelve he was moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he now resides. He was raised in the church by his grandparents (the late Frank and Lucille McMullen) and continues to show his knowledge of and love for church congregations on stage. Brown, a single father of four (3 boys & 1 girl), stresses the importance of education and giving back. As an active member of his community, Brown always finds time to be involved. In his efforts to give back to his community, he has established his own Scholarship Fund for students.
Brown began his career during his freshman year at Stillman College. After the completion of his Bachelor�s degree in Broadcast Communications, Brown began to pursue comedy as his professional career.
Most notably for appearing on BET Comic View, Brown's characters and popular phrase "Yes He Did" were an instant "knockout" and wowed the audience. Brown has also appeared on HBO Def Comedy Jam, Showtime at the Apollo, Comics Unleashed With Byron Allen, P.Diddy's Bad Boys of Comedy, and Martin Lawrence's 1st Amendment Comedy Series.
Brown's career has allowed him to work with top comedians such as Eddie Griffin, Katt Williams, Rickey Smiley, Bruce Bruce, Don DC Curry, Sommore, Sheryl Underwood, and Kevin Hart. He has also worked along side of top R&B and Hip Hop artist such as Gerald Levert, Outkast, TLC, Lil Wayne, Lil Webbie, Zapp feat. Roger, The Manhattans, Bobby Womack, Howard Hewitt, and a host of others.
Along his journey to master his craft and make his impression everlasting, Brown takes his comedic act on the road. He has performed at Comedy Clubs such as Zaney�s (Nashville, TN), Uptown Comedy Corner (Atlanta, GA), Carolines (New York), Comedy Caravan (Louisville, KY), The Comedy Club Stardome (Birmingham, AL) and Improv Comedy Clubs (Miami & West Palm Beach, FL). Brown is also known to perform at colleges and universities.
Through diligence, persistence, and his natural ability to entertain, Brown has become "The Comedian Extraordinaire".
"I'm not just a comedian, I'm an entertainer", states Brown which he clearly showed as he featured in the Stage play Casino and Tyler Perry's hit Movie Madeas Family Reunion.
Brown continues his unending commitment to the goal of "Making You laugh" in his new Stand-up DVD "Steve W. Brown Live" and at venues around the nation.
