Vanessa describes herself as “the funny chick from next door!” Known for her big hair and the personality to match; Comedienne, actress and writer Vanessa Fraction has spent ten years captivating audiences with her unique brand of hilarious, high-energy comedy. Her performances on “Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam” (HBO) and “Martin Lawrence: 1st Amendment Stand Up” on Starz, cemented her as a solid choice for television work. Her performance on BET’s “The Mo’Nique Show” was so well received that she landed a job as a staff writer for the show’s second season, offering a refreshing, female perspective to the show's Write Squad.
Fraction honed her comedic craft in Chicago, IL. After two years of working clubs and colleges across the nation she landed her first role in a major motion picture, BarberShop 2 alongside Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer. Vanessa has since been featured on "Mike Epps Presents: Live at Club Nokia" (Showtime, Comedy Central), “Byron Allen’s Comic’s Unleashed”, “Who Got Jokes”, and “The Funny Spot” (TVOne). Fraction also earned a spot in the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and was a finalist in NBC’s Stand Up For Diversity.
Whether sharing her stories of parenting gone bad or how every man should have an “At Least.” Vanessa never fails to rock the house not just in the United States, but also abroad in places such as the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Montreal and Spain, as well as when she entertains the troops in Germany, Japan and Korea.
When she’s not travelling to perform, Vanessa resides in Atlanta, GA, where she hosts a weekly comedy show, Make Me Laugh Mondays. Talented, beautiful, and charismatic, it’s plain to see the sum of Fraction’s parts equals one funny lady!
